Family Changes & Transitions

Major change and transitions in families can be tough on kids and parents alike. Everyone used to know what to expect in the family, and now, things aren't so clear.

Kids aren't sure what home will look like, and parents might not be sure what skills they need to help themselves and their kids through these changes. Everyone is feeling anxious and on edge, and conflict and worry is taking up too much space in your relationships. You're feeling stuck and need to support and guidance to help move forward in a positive way.

Whether it's challenging whole family dynamics, navigating divorce, co-parenting, or working on improving a parent/child relationship, family therapy can help.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, family system dynamics are one of my specialties. The theories I use primarily are: Systems Therapy, Experiential & Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy. I also use some Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)  when appropriate.
